Bulut ERTAŞ

Bulut Ertaş has strengthened his academic background from Boğaziçi University and Istanbul Technical University through over a decade of specialization in the design and seismic safety of industrial facilities. With strong expertise in the Turkish Seismic Code (TBDY), Eurocodes, and American standards (AISC/ASCE), he has served as Lead Structural Engineer on heavy industrial and transportation projects across diverse regions, including Türkiye, Azerbaijan, and Kuwait.
He possesses extensive experience in seismic performance assessment and retrofit design of existing structures. As a Senior Engineer at Orient Research, he led the seismic evaluation and strengthening design of numerous industrial facilities. In addition, he has contributed as a design engineer to complex infrastructure projects such as prestressed bridges, underpasses, and highway structures, delivering technically robust and code-compliant solutions.

Pınar Toru is a structural engineer with a strong academic background and extensive involvement in research and development projects in both the United States and Türkiye. During her studies at Iowa State University, she worked as a researcher on projects for the American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC), focusing on the development and experimental testing of high seismic performance steel framing systems, including non-buckling braced frames. In Türkiye, as part of Yapı Merkezi, she actively contributed to the preparation of geotechnical and structural design reports for mega infrastructure projects such as the 1915 Çanakkale Bridge and the Eurasia Tunnel. Within the scope of the World Bank–funded ISMEP (Istanbul Seismic Risk Mitigation and Emergency Preparedness) project, she served as a design engineer on the seismic strengthening of more than 60 schools and hospitals.

Onur Özalp specializes in Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes, which form the backbone of modern construction management. Leveraging his experience at Ghafari Associates and international design offices, he leads the creation of digital twins for industrial facilities and complex buildings, as well as interdisciplinary coordination and clash detection workflows. He has served as BIM Coordinator on large-scale projects such as the Lucid Motors Electric Vehicle Manufacturing Plant, the SAMI UAV Campus, and the Turkish Airlines DO&CO Catering Facility. He demonstrates advanced expertise in 3D modeling of reinforced concrete and steel structures within the Revit environment, quantity take-offs, and coordination of construction and shop drawings. Özalp has also contributed as a BIM specialist to high-rise projects based in the Netherlands and Russia, including Wonderwoods and De Puls.
